SCIENTIFIC CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP

In line with its objective of facilitating the development of the scientific capacities, skills and competence of its members, BSS KU has purposed to host a training workshop that would equip the members with transferable scientific skills in standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are adversely employed in contemporary research. The identified areas of exploration would include DNA extraction and characterization, genetic engineering, protocols in malaria research, modern trends in insect based research, research protocols in virology as well as plant molecular diagnostics.

In recognition of the significant role that KEMRI has continuously played in building the scientific capacities of scientists in Kenya, we believe that you are in a position to play a significant role in this workshop by providing a facilitator(s) to train us on the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in DNA extraction and characterization as well as genetic engineering. We hope to meet you in the course of next week to discuss the modalities that would make the realization of the above possible. Kindly let us know when we could have a chance to meet. All the efforts made towards the realization of the above are highly appreciated.

Yours sincerely
