POOR RESPONSE TO DGM RECRUITMENT

As expected, there are only 710 eligible applicants for 200 DGM
posts.
VERY poor response to a high profile post in BSNL.
50000 JTOs even after his life time service in BSNL could not reach
up to level of DGM
but out side BSNL, there are only 710 people who are intrested for
this post. It means talented peoples as per criteria defined by BSNL
are not
intrested and what is the guarantee of talent of these 710 peoples.
For 3000 jobs of JTOs there was more than 300000 applications so what

We may ask the management weather these 710 peoples can performed
better that JTOs/SDEs having 12 years experiance in BSNL/DoT.
On recieving this type of response, BSNL management should defer the
recruitment of DGMs and review its eligibilties conditions and
procedure with open mind.
All the SDEs having 12 years of experiance as JTO onwards out of
which
4 yaers experiance as SDE and EQ as B.Sc. First class/B.Tech with age
upto 45 years should be allowed for this exam.
This is only solution to tackle this poor response otherwise we will
get such a DGMs for whom there is no place in whole country except in
BSNL and we have to work under those peoples who as per their
capabilties
are inferior to us BUT got the job only due to poor recruitment
policies of BSNL.

Our associations should also to intervene to defer the recruitment.

why are you saying SDE with 4 years service. why not JTO with 12 years experience.It seems that you are SDE with 4 years experience.

This is not question of weather some one is DE, SDE or JTO.When a
ruling is made, it can be challanged with some limitations w.r.t. its
basic structure as management will also have some defence &
justification. In present eligibilty conditions, candidate should
have ,out of 12 years work experiance, 3 years experiance must be in
E-4 grade i.e. as DE.
So in relaxation to that the experiance as SDE for 3 years or 4 years
should be considered. Becuse 12 years experiance out of which some
years experiance as SDE make candidate enough experianced to work as
DGM.
If we say experiance only as JTO, then it will make the justification
for relaxtion little bit weak.
This will also fulfil the basic requirement & purpose of Management,
with which the catagaries of work experiance are made.
