BSMAP performance

Hi,

I'm trying out BSMAP on a single lane using this command line:

bsmap-1.02/bsmap -a s_8.fastq -d Mus_musculus_assembly9.fasta -o
s_8.bsp

It's been running for quite some time, and reports that it has
finished 2050000 reads in 1554942 seconds. Is this performance (1.3
reads processed per second) about what is expected, or should I be
doing something differently when invoking the program to get it to run
faster?
