My R15 is 7 months old. Two months ago i went out of station, i left
my R15 home for 2 weeks. After i went back took it for a ride. Both
tyre pressures was low. I thought it was because of the bike was
standing still for 2 weeks. Then i went and refilled the tyres. Then 1
week later the tyre pressures again came low. I went to the Yamaha
Service, they said that they will reset the tyres so the problem will
be solved. I left the bike to them to do that. After that 3 days later
when i took the bike for ride the tyre pressures were too low. Again I
went to Yamaha service, now they r suggesting to put tubes in both
tyres.
Is there any other way of solving this probelm?
Please help me...

Tiny tubeless tyres like those on the R15 do loose pressure when parked idle. When I parked my bike for 2 weeks once and 3 weeks once I didn't find any problem other than a few PSi down.

You have to check for any tiny puncture, bad valve pin, bent alloys and misaligned tyre on the alloy due to being on low pressure and ridden so for some distance. Find a patient tyre service wala and get this done... My trouble started 3-4 months back when I got a bent alloy. Air used to leak out from my rear tyre in 2-3 days max. One fine day it cracked and got the alloy changed. The problem persisted but then it was like in one week standing still it looses presssure to 6-9 PSi. Tried so many things and finally got the valve pin changed. Now it is loosing pressure like 2-3 PSi if kept aside for a week. I think I should manage with this as the tyre already has 3 punctures on it and is 15K KMs run. Another 5K KMs I'll probably get a new rear tyre.

So, far no abrubt air loss problem in the front. Yes, it does loose 2-3 PSi if left aside for 2 weeks or so.

Pls do not go for tubes in the tyre. The R15 alloy is week and if you had to open the tyre for a puncture then there is a good chance that the alloy gets damaged with the kind of "precission" tools used by our puncture wala's.

Hope this helps.

Thanks & Regards
Krishna

I have checked the tyres with Yamaha service. They found no problem with tyres. They put the tyre in the water, no air was going out. They said that there was no problem with valve or alloys, no puncture.
Now what to do?

the air is taking days to come out... there might be a bubble every few minutes... they have to do it very patiently. Trust me, I went through this for a few months and noticed a very tiny bubble coming out with a frequency of about 2 minutes. There was a very tiny aluminum flake inside the tyre at that part and it was covered by the tyre rubber again. Had to seal it off as if it is a puncture.

See, the air is leaking out of the tyre. How can they say that there is no air coming out of the tyre by putting the wheel in water for a few minutes? You donlt have to give a damn about what is happening but you need your problem resolved. Yes, it is difficult, takes time and would be solved step by step. How completely would it be solved would depend on your patience & satisfaction level coupled with your persistance :)

All the best
Regards
Krishna
