This coming Thursday (12/15) is the #MiSec meetup. Before the meetup we are going to have a B-Sides Detroit planning meeting. Feel free to come and join the discussion.

Time: 6-7 pm

Hello group,

Meeting notes. I am going off memory. Please amend and add as you see fit.

- BSides Detroit will stay BSides Detroit for the 2012 conference
- Rats and Rogues will host the BSides Detroit CFP interviews on their podcast
- Whitehaired Man Design is working on the branding and has what they need from us

- Rencen is out as a location
- The casinos are out as a location (due to their security requirements)
- Masonic may be a good location, providing we use their catering as there are few restaurants in the area

By that second graph it would look like it is counting total ticket sales including last years event....Is that the case?

hmmmm that would explain the massive spike in June... Let me make sure that I rolled a new site, instead of just modifying the old one.

OH, perhaps the number is closer to 20. I am going to send out an email encouraging those who intend to register for this year to please re-register, and then void all their old tickets.

I'm curious if Automation Alley has any usable space that would meet the needs/requirements

Hello Nathan,

Automation Alley is on the table. Some downsides are the available space for 300 participants, and being located outside of Detroit. Upsides are it is likely to be affordable and the alignment between the Automation Alley mission and the BSides mission.
