Hello.
FreeBSD-14.0-CURRENT-amd64-20230120-43703bc489ec-260163 failed to
attach to Norelsys NS1081 card-reader controller.
In short:
umass0: <Norelsys NS1081, class 0/0, rev 2.10/1.00, addr 5> on usbus0
umass0: SCSI over Bulk-Only; quirks = 0x8100
(probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): CAM status: Auto-Sense Retrieval Failed

In more details:
https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/cam-status-auto-sense-retrieval-failed-with-norelsys-ns1081.87874

If any additional information is required, then please let me know now.
Otherwise I will use the memory card (from where I booted the installer)
for another software.

Regards,

By the way, the same error happened to
FreeBSD-13.1-STABLE-amd64-20230120-4a8af507ebe5-253535,
hence it does not seem to be specifically a CURRENT issue.

Hello,

I also experienced the same issue on the 13.1 branch. I found the following bug report opened with proposed patch. After rebuilding with the patch NS1081 was successfully attached and I was able to mount it. Could you please let us know if the patch is going to be applied to the 13.1-STABLE?
