SQL Server Express licensing

Quick question...does anybody know if you can use SQL Server Express 2005 for business?  Or is it only for personal (non-profit) use?

Yes, it is licensed for distribution with (for example) a custom app.  If you can sell your custom app with it without cost, it would seem logical that you (as a business) should be able to use it without cost.

IANAL: but I have not heard, or seen, anything that says you cannot use it for business or commercial applications.
In fact, I know of several ISPs that use SQL Server Express for their sql server hosting.

One potential gotcha in a business situation that I'm aware of is that your db can grow no larger than 4gb in the express edition...

Right...I knew about the size limitation.

The reason I ask is that we have a vendor that is switching their app's database from MySQL to SQL Server Express, and I was wondering if we could use it like that.  What I mean is...the vendor is logged into our server doing an upgrade, and he's having troubles with MySQL, so he decided to switch it to SQL Server.

Should be fine once you have the annoying sql language differences settled out.
