I thought I would throw this out to my BSDG friends and hopefully you can spread it wider ...

If you are a current Sparklight customer, sign-in to your portal (or give them a call) and upgrade to the 600/30mbps Freedom Plan package.
I was on the 300Mbps plan ($80/month) and it actually went DOWN to $60/month.

Just an FYI. Hope you are all doing well!

Cheers,

TDS Fiber is moving into my neighborhood.   I'm betting that Sparklight is finally feeling pressure from having compitition.

FWIW, I was able to get Sparklight to give me a 2 year deal on Freedom Connect 600 @ $45/month to match the deal that TDS Fiber was pushing in my neighborhood.  This was back in June, so YMMV.   At the glacial rate TDS is moving, it may be two years before they even HAVE service in my neighborhood.

They have conduit thru my neighborhood, and I have a new utility box in my front yard for them as well.  I'm hopeful they will have us setup this spring.   But ya, putting in new conduit and running cable takes a lot of time.

Thanks Rich,

Too good to be true for me. Not available in my Nampa area yet.

I hope everybody is doing well. Funny how even an already-remote team
could be so deeply affected this past year. After many ups and downs
we were finally able to get our first commercial product out though.

Lots of other deep work in Red this past year. Unfortunately, we're
not 64-bit yet so we're not on Catalina's dance card. We did get the
GTK back end done, and have about 3'000 commits on the Android branch
to bring that up to speed and merge in the coming months.
