2020 Friends of Scouting Campaign

Good afternoon,

I had planned to send this e-mail out to the Troop family last Friday morning, but some of my questions went unanswered until today.  I am sorry for the delay.  As I mentioned at our Court of Honor, nothing of what we pay to register each year goes to the Daniel Webster Council. It all goes to BSA which is headquartered in Texas. The facilities which the council maintains for our use are outstanding.  Our camps are the best in the Northeast!  So I ask you to seriously consider joining me to support the 2020 Friends of Scouting Campaign.  I understand that in these very unusual times, money may be tight.  What ever you can give will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks for your consideration!

The Council has set up a secure website you can use to make your contribution.  https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/HELPSCOUTS/DougAykroyd   When you enter the amount you wish to donate, the site calculates the administration fee, and shows the total below the area you use to fill in your credit card information.  Just below the expiration date there is the sentence, "I would like to cover the payment processing fee.” with a block in front of it that is pre-checked.  So if you say you want to donate $25.00 with the block checked, the donation amount is shown as $25.64.  Uncheck the box, and your donation becomes exactly $25.00.

If you wish to donate but prefer check or cash, please let me know, and I will make arrangements.

There is another page which describes the 2020 Friends of Scouting Donor Incentives located at https://nhscouting.org/2020-fos-resources/  and has pictures of the special council shoulder patches for donations starting at $150.00.  All donors will receive a special patch shown below
