Good evening to all,
A great job today with Scouting for Food! We had a reported total of 8,066 food items which were passed on to 4 Hampton Food pantries. Mrs Hyatt did a great job organizing the effort, and the Troop, in cooperation with Pack 177 and Troop 380 did a magnificent job executing the plan.
Monday is Veterans’ Day, and the Troop’s Color Guard is scheduled to participate in two ceremonies. The first ceremony will take place at 8:00 am at the Marine Memorial at Hampton Beach. (Just across the street from the Ashworth Hotel.) The color guard needs to be at my car near the Marine Memorial at Hampton Beach by 7:40 am so we can distribute flags, hats and red jackets for the 8:00 am ceremony. The uniform is Field Uniform with long pants or shorts with zip-off legs attached. The ceremony usually takes about 20 minutes.
A second ceremony will take place at the American Legion Post #35 Building on High Street at 11:00 am in the morning. Color guard members should be there by 10:45.
Those not on the color guard are welcome to attend the ceremony and support our troop and American Legion Post #35.
Please let me know if there are any questions.
Yours in Scouting,
Mr. Aykroyd
PS: The color guard is still looking for one white flag belt. See picture below.
