Penn Bengali Students Association

Welcome Back BSA Members and Prospective BSA Members. The BSA is up and running again this year and we are looking for new members! (Don't worry you don't have to speak Bengali to join!)

We would like to get an idea of how many people are interested in our mentoring program. This rewarding opportunity allows you to work with and tutor local high school students who have recently immigrated to the U.S from Bangladesh and India. 

We work with the students in improving their SAT scores and better comprehending their high school coursework. Additionally, we help them prepare their college applications during the fall of their senior year. Occasionally, we take the students on local trips to help them adapt to the area and of course to wind down, we throw in a game of carrom or ludo! (We can teach you if you don't know how to play :) )

Additionally, we are planning on hosting a few cultural events this year. We will have our first GBM of the year after fall break. Our website is currently under construction, but we will let you know when it's up!

In the meantime, let us know if you're interested in the mentoring program. It is definitely a rewarding experience!
