Join BSA's mentoring program this Friday 3:15-5PM at the ARCH Building. The students are recent immigrants who can greatly benefit from your support. Mentoring can include homework help, college applications, teaching English, and word/board games. Help Penn BSA continue its commitment to service and excellence in the West Philadelphia community.

Thank you all so very much for your responses!  Our students are brand new to this country and even aside from this are too young to travel to campus on their own, so if it would be possible we would really like to have someone come to the school to work with them.  I believe we can arrange to have SEPTA tokens provided through some resource on campus, but if not, I'm sure that I and the teachers who work with these students can provide funds for transportation.  Our school year is not finished until the near end of June so it would be truly amazing if someone would be available even after the Penn academic year ends.

These students are really bright, enthusiastic and kind young people.  I know that whoever does come to work with them will feel infinitely rewarded by the relationship they form with them.  I can say without a doubt that the students will benefit greatly from having someone to communicate with and help translate their needs, experiences and etc.
