FW: Horsemanship Merit Badge info & forms

Hi Everyone!

I just got word that there is a new opportunity at camp this summer.  TVSR has partnered with Becker College to offer a Horsemanship Merit Badge Program!  The waiver forms attached to this email must be signed and available the first day of camp in order to participate.  The merit badge is open to all scouts and will run from 9am to noon on Tuesday and Wednesday of our week at camp.  Is scouts are interested in taking another merit badge that meets during this time, they may still do do but need to communicate with their counselor to make sure they keep up with the work and requirements they will miss.

> FOOT WEAR REQUIREMENTS

> · Scouts will need a firm soled shoe with a heel that comes above the ankle.  NO SNEAKERS!  Shoe must have a heel and not have a deep tread that will catch on stirrup- flat bottom or shallow tread only ( Please do NOT spend a lot of money on these.  You can probably find a good pair at Walmart for around $10.)

> · T-shirt that covers shoulders- tank tops are not allowed
> · Long pants (no shorts)

Becker will be providing Gloves and Helmets for each scout participating. 

> Price will be based upon participation:

> · 2 scouts $60 per scout
(We won't know the price until we get to camp, but I anticipate the $30 cost.)
