Subject: Welcome to Week 7! Another challenge to Race for Reward!

Dear Pop Stars!

We’re in the 7th inning stretch and there is still plenty of selling time and prizes to be earned in these last two+ weeks of the sale.

This week I have a number of prizes that will be awarded randomly as the filled order sheets come in – all good things that any scout will appreciate. They include binoculars, The Camper’s Knot Tying (Learn the art of Knot Tying), decks of Discover Cards – Fishing, First Aid, Camp Cooking…, DVD  Down and Derby, Stainless Steel Water Bottles, Leatherneck Tool, and many more to be reward alone or in combination.

To keep things interesting we decided to offer another challenge with the goal of earning a unit mega prize.   We’re working on the details now but I assure you it will be well worth your scouts’ effort.

From today until Monday, November 7 – the pack and troop that has the highest percentage of their scouts hand in filled order sheets – (along with first time ever submissions) will earn a special activity just for your unit. The goal is to have the most scouts filling order sheets and to get those who haven’t filled a sheet yet this campaign to do so before the end but to level the playing field by considering % instead of total #.

So if a troop with 25 scouts submits 6 order sheets from 6 scouts, that would be 24% of the unit participating. If 3 of the scouts submitted their first sheet this year – the troop’s score would be 24% +3. If a troop has 25 scouts and submits 6 order sheets from 3* scouts (each submitting 2 filled order sheets), then the participation will be 12% of the unit. If each of those 3 scouts submit the first sheet this year – plus a second because they’ve been working on multiple sheets, the troop’s score will be 12% +3.  If another troop scores 24% with no new scouts added to the mix, the first troop will win the challenge over the second with the same %.

*(Please don’t hold back on submitting multiple order sheets – the scouts get Pop Star pins and prizes and chances for the end of week drawings so they are rewarded for their hard work. November 4th is the last fill a sheet drawing.)

This challenge includes filled order sheets received today until 9 a.m. Monday, November 7th.  This will give those of you who take advantage of the last weekend (Nov 5, 6) during which your unit can still conduct a blitz and/or show for additional commission incentive to put filled order sheets into the race for reward. (Only those scouts with filled order sheets received by 3 PM on November 4th will be placed in Last Fill A Sheet Drawing for the place on the Sharks Warm Up Bench.

ALL POPCORN MUST BE RETURNED TO POLAR, 1001 SOUTHBRIDGE STREET, WORCESTER BETWEEN 7AM AND 7 PM ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7.

We will NOT ACCEPT late popcorn return and your unit will be financially responsible so don’t miss this important deadline.

The best thing will be if all the popcorn you have is SOLD and you have none to return J!

                Good luck and have fun.

BTW: Please encourage scouts to keep selling until at a minimum they hit the $500 mark so they get 10% back toward summer camp at Treasure Valley. I received a number of filled order sheets that are almost there – but not quite – and it would be a shame if those scouts didn’t sell the one or more products that will put them over so they earn a voucher to reduce camp costs (as well as the other rewards that go along with the popcorn product sale). These scouts are listed below.
