High Flying Adventure!

Hi Everyone.
Tomorrow night, we're in for a treat. Wade Leveille is an experienced, licensed pilot and has agreed to come down to our troop meeting and give a class on Aviation. He is willing to serve as a merit badge counselor for this badge and share his enthusiasm about flying with us all. Family and friends are encouraged to come down and listen to this class as well if they are interested. The class should kick-off around 7:30 pm. (Our meeting still starts at 7!)
In addition, Wade has also generously agreed to take scouts "up in the air" for some actual flying time! He owns his own plane and has several other aviator friends who will be available Sunday morning at 9:30 am at the North Central Airport in Lincoln, RI. Flying is a wonderful experience and this is the kind of opportunity few scout troops have. All scouts in the troop are invited to come down with us Sunday and try out this adventure. Even if you don't want to fly, there will be plenty to see and examine at the airport. We will be gathering in the church parking lot at 8:30 am to travel down together. We should return home by noon or 1 pm.
Any scouts who wish to fly on Sunday will be required to sign a release form. I have attached a copy of the form to this e-mail and will have hard copies with us at the meeting tomorrow. If any parents or family members have questions or comments about this activity, please come down to the meeting tomorrow night and ask. Both Wade and I will be happy to answer them. Also, parents are welcome to attend Sunday and fly if space is available. The form does not need to be handed in Tuesday night. As long as they have it with them on Sunday, they'll be good to go.
