Hello everyone.
Just a quick reminder about our Memorial Day opportunities. For many years our troop has helped place flags on the grave sites of veterans here in Northbridge. This is a wonderful way for us to honor our veterans and show respect for the sacrifices they made. We have three opportunities to participate:
Thursday, May 24 - We will be meeting at 6pm in the Riverdale Cemetery on Providence Rd. After we have finished here, we will journey up Benson Rd. to the "old Cemetery" next to the water tower.
Saturday, May 26 - We will meet at 8am Saturday morning in the Pine Grove Cemetery. (next to the middle school) There are many sites here and many hands make this task easier. Donuts will be provided.
Monday, May 28 - We will be marching together in the annual town parade. We will gather in the Pine Grove Cemetery at 9:15am. The parade should conclude by noon.
Please remember, all of these activities are a way for us to honor our veterans and "do our duty to our country". To show respect, and remind our community of the good work we do as scouts, please wear your full scout uniform to all of these activities. Water bottles, sunscreen, and a backpack are also useful items to bring. Family members are also invited to participate. I look forward to seeing you all this weekend.
