Hi everyone.
I hope you're having a great weekend. The Mohegan Council will be sending a contingent to the National Jamboree in July, 2013. To attend, a scout must be 13 years old and be a First Class scout by the start of the Jamboree. This year, however, we have only been given space for 36 boys from the council to attend. The spots are filling up fast!
If you are at all interested in attending, I encourage you to attend an info session this Monday, January 30, at 6:30 pm in the Immaculate Conception Church. (353 Grove St. Worcester, MA) Parents and scouts are invited to ask questions, find out about the programs available, and meet the adult leaders bringing the contingent to the event. A flyer is attached.
This is a great opportunity and a lot of fun. It is the largest scouting event in the nation (over 40,000 people will attend!) and is a fantastic way to be one of the first people to use the newest High Adventure Base of the BSA. I hope you consider attending.
