Hey New River,
This is just a follow up to many of you regarding possible Unit Presentation dates for your Unit FOS presentations this Spring.
First of all, I am very grateful to all of you willing to allow us to conduct these presentations in your unit. Please know that we understand your unit program on this day is the most important element of your event and NOT us. But having the opportunity
to share with parents about FOS not only helps us raise the needed money to support district and council programs, it also helps educate our parents about what the District and Council does and why it is so important. I helps us “connect the dots” with them
about how Scouting works in their community on the many levels beyond their Pack and Troop. For this, we are very grateful, regardless of if your parents give or not. Sharing the mission of Scouting and developing relationships is our main objective. Raising
much needed FOS dollars, while very important, is secondary.
This said, we are still looking for dates from some of our remaining units in the district. Therefore, if you are a unit who has not relayed your date to us, please let us know that date when all your parents will likely be in attendance that will work
best with your schedule. Our Family FOS Chair has been calling many of you and I have attached his email above so when you reply with your date, please “Reply All”. We need to secure all Cub Scout dates by March 31st
and all Troop Dates by May 31st if possible, but please just let us know where you are. If you have not scheduled your Blue and Gold or Court of Honor date yet but expect it to be in a
specific month, then just let us know this month so we can follow up. We just don’t want to miss an opportunity should you be gracious enough to provide it.
We need : Type of Event, Date, Location and Time.
We will inform you of the volunteer who will be able to conduct your presentation based on the availability of our team.
Thanks so much!
Blessings,
Chris
