Dear Partner Agencies,

GOOD NEWS!  Our annual Bill Roth’s Kid's Day is scheduled for Saturday, February 7th 2015 for the  Virginia Tech  vs. Florida State game at Cassell Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 3pm. Only a limited number of tickets are available for both kids and their necessary chaperones.

Bill Roth Kid’s Day is an event where children who are normally not able to attend Virginia Tech athletic events are offered the opportunity to not only attend, but are given “VIP” treatment. Each person will receive a food coupon for a free hot dog, popcorn, milkshake, a t-shirt to commemorate the day plus a chance to meet the Hokie Bird. We would like as many tickets as possible to be used for children and youth. With this in mind, please consider having one adult chaperone per every 4-5 children/youth or if a group is coming that there is enough staff to assist with the kids.

We will ask that photo releases be signed before the event so we may take photos at the event (mostly group photos). We understand some people cannot sign releases and therefore we will not take photos of them. United Way staff and I will be on hand to help direct the day’s itinerary.

If you will, please contact me with your request for tickets that includes youth and chaperone names along with t-shirt sizes.  Tickets are on a first come first served basis.

We are very excited to work with Mr. Roth on this event and hope to make it one the kids will fondly remember! Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions or concerns.

Also, we have had the generous Martial Arts scholarship offer by a studio for a male youth (5-15yrs old) made again this year.  This includes the cost of classes for three months and uniform. If you know of an individual that would be interested in this opportunity please contact me with their information.
