Hey guys!

The PDF to Visitas is below
From 6pm-7pm on Saturday there is a minority student reception in Queen's Head Pub. Idk if that will change or affect our plans.

So what do you all want to do? Since the only time we thought was good was Saturday night but if there is already a minority reception our dessert idea might be redundant. We could see if we could figure out who is organizing this event and make sure one of our new board members is there?

I think 5-6 can work. This gives people time to realize how lame the regional receptions are and then after our event they can go have dinner at the minority reception. I was thinking we can have some bonding activity for the class. Like ice breaker games and maybe games like contact . I think it's important to have a BSA only event during Visitas so the pre-frosh can start to associate positive things about our association. I also think it would be a good idea for FBT to run the event so the prefrosh can see the positions available to them next year.

1. Was there a reason that this couldn't be a precursor to the BCL BBQ? That way the events could flow into one another.
2. I definitely thing FBT should make a strong presence here. We should definitely have a short into of the BSA as a whole and FBT by the respective presidents. We should also be sure to talk about some of our big events so that we can get prefrosh excited about BSA.
3. I think we really need to make sure upperclassmen come out so that this is different from the minority reception and other mixers.

We would also need to figure out how to pub it. Also, it seems like none of the BCL events are in the Visitas schedule so that's a whole other issue. But I agree with making FBT have a strong presence in whatever location/time we decide.

The BCL BBQ is at 12 and then there is the ABHW& BMF event directly following it. I kind of thinking putting it before might just be too much. I think that if we have too many events in the same block it will take away from the other events. I am more in favor of Ade's idea of moving before the regional reform. It breaks up the event and then leading into the diversity reception would be good. We do need to think about space- if the diversity reception is queen's head then we probs couldn't use the same space. I am all for FBT involvement.  As for upperclassmen- we could offer but I think that between Eleganza, Jollies and then the cook out we might have low turn out so it might be better to prepare for it be us and a couple other people. I think we also highlight FBT we would be showing a different side to BSA which would be great for the prefrosh to see.

As for pubing- we will have to make a group tonight or tomorrow so EJ can begin to pub this weekend.

I really think it should just be a pre-frosh only event, so they can bond and get to know each other as a BSA class in a fun environment. Hopefully they can associate this fun bonding experience to BSA and become involved in the coming school year. We have so many events on Sunday for upperclassmen to talk to pre-frosh, so I think it will be okay if they aren't there. The new board could be there to introduce themselves, but they don't necessarily need to stay. I think FBT should facilitate the whole event. Like Fay said,it would be a big block of black events to do it on Sunday, so I think Saturday is best. If we can't get the Queens head, we can probably get a classroom in Memorial hall right?
