Dear all,
(Batch of 2012 & 13)
It is very unfortunate that one of our friends was subjected to sheer
medical negligence and poor medical attention which lead to his untimely
demise and has left catastrophic effects on us.
Certain facts that were brought to the notice were as follows.
*Sequence of events*
1. Two bikes speeding on the shankarpally highway- one pulsar & one
passion (4 riders)
2. The person with passion went off balance and had a head on collision
with Nihit Sinha. Nihit had uncontrollable blood loss and severe head
injury.
3. Witness at situation attempted to rush Nihit to IBS clinic only to
understand that On duty Dr. was not available.
4. Frantic attempts to reach the ambulance driver went in vain. On duty
ambulance driver was missing as well.
5. Students persuaded the security at gate to provide them with a vehicle
to rush Nihit to the nearest hospital (27kms away), however they were
asked
to draw permission from the warden.
6. With further persuasion a student by the name of Raman (batch of 2013)
drove the victim (Nihit Sinha) with a warden and couple of students to
Olive
hospital near Langar house. *In this entire bargain, Nihit Sinha had lost
valuable blood and about 25mins of time that could have made a difference.
*
7. There had been no official case registered by the police due to lack
of a senior management representative from IBS.
8. After many attempts,* the on duty warden was sent *to Shankarpally
police station. The police asked him to stay outside since he was *under
the* i*nfluence of alcohol* *(strange since the institution expects us to
adhere to their rules) *
In the turn of events today, we have lost a friend, an acquaintance, a
passerby, somebody unknown.
But a set of parents in Chandrapur, Maharashtra have lost their son Nihit
Sinha.
Let our attempts be strong enough to ensure that the
management addresses these issues on a war footing.
Let us pray for Nihit Sinha.
