Hi,
I have expressed concern many time about the danger of the inbound gate being open.
Why is the inbound gate open when the exit is broken ?
If the inbound gate stays open for a extended period of time there should be a procedure in place that immediately gets implemented.
Example
Email to all owners and possibly Vendors to stop at entrance before entering.
A sign placed at entrance to stop
It really bothers me the danger of the vehicles not stopping and entering at a high rate of speed. There is a risk that a person, pet or children can get hit. I don't know what it will take for this to be addressed hopefully not a fatality or injury.
This morning was a prime example of my concerns.
A young boy walking on the same side of the street directly towards the open gate with his head down the whole time looking at his cell phone. We have children that walk to get the bus and that generation is looking at there phone. Other people have on airbuds listening to music while walking across the entrance from the walk way.
Can we address this immediately. Close the inbound gate if it's functional which seems to be. I have heard minimum of 4 weeks for the gate to be fixed. Way to much risk for this to be open that long without a sign and email.
Perhaps we need a new gate company because it's always way to long. I find it hard to believe that they are always waiting on a part. Collier county have so many gated communities so if they are not prepared to fix the gate in a reasonable amount of time then I'm sure there are many companies that provide better service.
I will be posting this to the Brynwood Preserve blog since the owners are aware of what is going on here.
A sense of urgency would be nice on this.
