Hi,

I got a problem playing 192kHz files using my Squeezebox 3/Classic. At first the music was okay and then needed to rebuffer after a few seconds. Now I habe the new plugin working and the music is to slow. It looks like the music is at a 1/4 the normal speed. Has anyone an idea? What could be the reason?

Normally the music should be resampled or downsampled using the 'D' option within our custom-convert.conf. This is not happening. I tried to figure out what the code does, but I could not really understand why the 'D' option is not used to downsample 192kHz tracks for my Squeezebox 3.

Hi Klaas

I have not used my SB2 for a long time so I am not sure what worked and what didn't. Does your setup do downsampling with the plugin disabled? I assume you are using flac? Agree with you that this should work. I seem to remember that Mervin had SB2/3 in his system so he might know what causes this.

Hi Klaas,

If you can send me a zip of the latest plugin package, I'll have a look at it. Also please indicate the convert pipeline you are using (sox .... | brutefirwrapper ..... | ......). If your playback is 1/4 speed, the flac is probably 192kHz, while the wav output from brutefir is 48 or 44.1.

I stream to SB Touch and to Squeezeplay.

Mervin

Hi Mervin,

thank you for the help. I will try it out a bit more. If I remain clueless in a few days I will post the plugin and steal some of your time :) First I have to check it out with brutefir disabled, with other conversions... I have some ideas.

Regards Klaas
