I guess very few follow this forum now, but I'd like to tell you that I've installed the newly released LMS 7.9.0 (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?107110-Logitech-Media-Server-7-9-is-out!) on a NUC running the latest Debian 64bit with BrutefirDrc. Apt-get installs brutefir v1.0m (not the latest 1.0o. Debian is a bit slow...). It all works fine and performance is good. There are a few caveats one should look out for though:

The plugin does not always write the correct link to /etc/squeezeboxserver/BrutefirDrc/settings. When correct, this should be a soft link to your chosen filter as this: filter-XX_XX_XX_XX_XX_XX -> /etc/squeezeboxserver/BrutefirDrc/filters/XX.txt. If this is only the file name without the full path it will not work. Re-apply from the LMS settings page and the link will eventually be written. You can create the link manually too.

Also needed is a check of the ownership of /etc/squeezeboxserver/BrutefirDrc and /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/Plugins/BrutefirDrc. chown -R squeezeboxserver on these folders.

Place the plugin in /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/Plugins

Still look at thread occasionally for new posts. Haven't been any for a long time but I still keep looking in the vain hope that someone will write a GUI for Equalizer settings (for each player) - similar to the one used by Inguz. I would have a go at doing it myself but wouldn't even know where to start and my coding skills are minimal.

Hi,

I moved on to hear music only via Spotify. My kids take too much time and I am into casual listing. I use a Rasperry Pi as Airplay device and stream 350k files via a tablet or my mobile device. The PI has a brutefir instance running and I use digital volume control with brutefir and loudness control. It is a nice and easy setup and the reason why I am not doing any more work one the plugin.

If anyone is interested to get added to the sourceforge page to add releases etc. send me a quick note and I will see to it :)

Regards Klaas
