Hello Montreal! Newbie has arrived

Hello lovely burners of Quebec! We are a burner family from BC, attending many regional burns in BC and AB with our wee kids. I'm writing you as I have a young friend who has just moved to Montreal to study at McGill. She is a brilliant artist and downright awesome human being in every way- she rocked her humble childhood and she can hunt, ride, garden, firefight, act, paint, and smart as heck as her fancy pants Loran scholarship will attest to. She is super young on the party scene though, and starting to go clubbing.. I want her to know there are amazing solid people to party with in Montreal! Are there any upcoming events I can steer her towards so she can meet some of your amazing crowd? Thanks everyone! Hugs from BC, Simone

Thank you for sending this email to the google group, that's lovely for your friend!

The Montreal Burner Community welcome everyone and we would be very happy to get to know a new human in whatever context is possible in 2022. 

Right now, with the venues closed and the curfew, there is not so much going on in the community but the best way to be in touch and to know what is organized is to join the facebook group "Bruleurs de Montréal Burners", to ask to join the google group "Brûleurs de Montréal Burners" and to add an email address to the mailing list of our official regional (https://losstidburn.com/language/en/eninfo/) 

Last year we got ice skating in Park Lafontaine a few time during the day, through the curfew. Hopefully people will put together similar gatherings this year :-) 

Then we hope the organization of our regional and around the big Burn, including virgin night, will resume somewhere in March. 

I would say most of the unofficial gathering are shared through the facebook group :-). 

Let me know if you have any questions. Your friend can also directly reach out to my personnal address if she have any questions or if she would enjoy talking to someone new.
