I pledge to

1. maintain a positive and supportive attitude on and off the pitch
2. give 110% towards dominating in the scrums/lineouts
3. be aggressive in rucks and mauls
4. tackle more
5. stay focused this week during practice and at the game on Saturday

> Dear Team , we have the biggest game of the season coming up on Saturday at 7pm in San Diego. To make sure we get to the Nationals and retain our ranking, the only option on Saturday is to win. There is no doubt in my mind that will happen, as I know our strategy works against San Diego, but that is conditional. As a coach you can build the best game plan, but I'm only the architect, and need builders to see the end result. You need to feel you can use the tools you have, and combined with confidence and mental toughness, go out and do your job and win.

> I'm requesting you all make a pledge on this forum before 6pm TOMORROW, and tell me and the team what you are going to contribute this week and on Saturday, to make sure UCLA comes home with a win. Whether you may play or not, your contribution at practice allows us to play at a higher level, and if that is what you can provide, that's good enough.

> By making your pledge public, you must only commit to something you feel you can achieve as you will be held to your pledge. Feel free to set your sights high.
>
> If you feel you do not wish to email your pledge or cannot see the value in this exercise, that in itself lets me know where you are at regarding the team commitment and spirit.
>
> My commitment to you is I'll continue to study the game, spend as many hours as needed this week with players, do my homework on SD, build a strategy based on their weakness's, and deliver a team on Saturday that believes in themselves and wants to push the boundaries and be at the Nationals in April.
