Class of 2015!
Your first-year Crew has been officially selected and we are already hard at work on what should be one of the most epic weekends of your MBA experience... DIS-ORIENTATION!! #DisO2015
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Dis-O will take place from Saturday, June 6 through Monday, June 8 in Las Vegas at the Palms.
We are still working on finalizing the details, but be prepared to party until dawn on Saturday night, take your clothes off at a pool party on Sunday afternoon, and wrap up the weekend on Sunday night with a private party in a 9,000 square foot, two-story hotel suite in true Vegas style.
A couple of preliminary requests:
1) SAVE THE DATE! This will be a weekend you won’t want to miss. Sig-O’s are, of course, more than welcome.
2) Feel free to begin making your travel arrangements. Check in will be on Saturday 6/6 from 12 noon until 5 pm, so keep that in mind when booking your flights or planning your carpools. The package will only cover these dates, so anything else you plan on doing outside of these days is entirely up to you.
3) Start forming groups of four for your room arrangements and decide on a “room captain” who will be the point person for your room (e.g., check-in at the hotel, coordinate payment, etc.). ONLY FOUR PEOPLE PER ROOM, NO EXCEPTIONS. You CAN have a room for just you and your Sig-O, but you will have to pay a slightly higher price for the package (please block out the other two spots in the Google Doc so no one else signs up for your room). We do, however, want to reserve these rooms ONLY for couples (you can’t have two people in a room with the plan of bringing back your Tinder matches). And we also want to still encourage couples to bunk up with other couples and get a four person room. We have a limited number of rooms in the block and want to make sure everyone that wants to come is able to. Plus, let’s be honest - how much time are you really going to be spending in the room with all the parties we have planned for you??
Once groups are formed, please sign up at your earliest convenience on the following Google Doc and identify your room captain (and feel free to come up with a clever team nickname too!). The second tab is there so you can fill out your travel information in case you want to do a Steamboat-style party plane or mega carpool caravan to Vegas.

4) We are still working on the budget and finalizing the details for the weekend (e.g., club, pool party locations), but once we do, we will release pricing and a more detailed itinerary. We hope to start selling tickets sometime next week, so be on the lookout for another email!
5) There is no way to purchase parts of the package (e.g., book your own room and still participate in the club night, pool party, and/or suite party). Unfortunately, if we offered that, we wouldn't be able to throw the kinds of epic parties we are planning.
Tickets will go on sale next week, so be on the lookout for a follow-up email with additional details. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

It’s finally here. The details for Dis-O. Get ready to have your mind blown.
One quick clarification point/reminder:
You CAN NOT reserve rooms for only 3 people. For those that have done so already, please amend the google doc. Happy to chat if you have any questions.
So now for the good stuff:
What: Dis-O 2015!
When: Officially starts Saturday, June 6 and officially ends Monday, June 8. Anything you plan on doing outside of these dates is not included in the package - you are on your own.
Where: Las Vegas, NV - Palms Hotel
What’s Included in the Price:
- Two night stay at the Palms (Saturday and Sunday nights). Rooms are studios with a king bed and a pull-out couch.
- Saturday club night at a location still TBD (Hakkasan, XS, Marquee - don’t worry, it will be a good one, hopefully with a cool DJ performing). We’ll have a separate VIP line for all of Anderson. Drinks are NOT included, you’re on your own once you get inside.
- Sunday afternoon pool party with all-you-can-drink beer, champagne, OJ, and water.
- Sunday night, Anderson-only party (most likely a neon party but open to suggestions) in the Palms 9,000 sq ft, two-story Sky Villa with a full open bar. #nbd http://goo.gl/dxK7yW
Price:
Room of 4 – $415 per person (or $1,660 total per room)
Room of 2 – $515 per person (or $1,030 total per room)
Where and How to Pay:
- First, if you haven’t already, sign up for a room ASAP: http://goo.gl/PfHZhW
- Pay your designated room captain for your share of the weekend. Room captain should then write one check for the total made out to “ASA Social”
- Tickets can be purchased from Thursday, April 23 (tomorrow) through Thursday, May 6. AFTER MAY 6, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO PURCHASE TICKETS! So please don’t procrastinate, it would be a real shame to miss out on something this awesome.
- Your Dis-O crew will be posted up in the Anderson courtyard during lunch and at AA (Alumni Plaza tomorrow, North Lawn next week). If for some reason you cannot find any of us, the room captain must leave a check in my (Sheldon Fields) mailbox with the list of names in the room by 7 pm on Thursday, May 6. No exceptions.
