Ed you remember the old days read on!

A great day in the woods with the club by George McQuillan

At last we made it to three ponds trail to warren With Blood Sweat and
Tears.

A great day with the gang only to split up into two groups, some went
from Warren back to Three ponds trail and my group Elliot Levy Ann
Levy, Ed Healy, Crissy Healy went the long route by Lyme trails etc.

So It began sleds in order of names with myself taking up the rear
Trails were A-1

Little icy just the way I like them. 2 1/2 miles into the trip oh by
the way did I say the trip started yes it did.. we go around this iced
corner I figure hey just maybe crissy is somewhat new at this and
stop at the bottom of this icy hill only to find the sled in front of
me go three quarters of the way up,. oh did I mention crissy well

She was sliding backwards only to pick my spot on this 20 foot wide
trail to hit smack dead center on the front of my storm . well S___
happens. Did a nice job on Ed's new tail parts on his sled sorry Ed
not my fault.

As we all regrouped Ed inquired with a chuckle did you hit crissy
of course not

I replied. Now we are under way flying down these paved trails 1 hour
later well it happens again, did I say Crissy well ok it was, she
fly's around the corner oh did I mention on the wrong side she slides
off of the left side of the trail as it sweeps to the right ,and
approaches a 35 foot bridge.

Well I couldn't believe it she rolls off the sled the machine rolls
to the left and smashes down the embankment a small log through the
windshield Crissy laid

Out on the ground like mike Tyson just bit her ear off! Yea she was ok
so I made sure she was ok. Oh did I say this story doesn't end here it
goes on we had to use a

Hoist to get the machine out as other snowmobiles went by surveying
the accident.

Ah of course as they go by I point my finger at Crissy. well the ah
male thing takes over and it ain't my sled down their 1/2 under the
bridge its hers yea know its kind of embarrassing to think that
someone may think I did it.

We still didn't leave the bridge yet some how the story goes on we
all decide to mount our iron horses I look over see Crissy turn to her
machine did I say crissy

Well yes I did . don't know how she did it but she falls through the
bridge did I mention 2by 6 in the crotch oh the pain just glad it
wasn't me being that my inseam is 36 inches if I went through well a 3
foot drop would crush the family jewels anyway I ran over to her aid
once again Ed helped also as he lifted her up as I was afraid she may
have broken a bone or two. Oh by now did I mention Ed wasn't in the
dog house he is now Chrissy is pissed that Ed took her on this ride!

So we mount the sleds once again cruise a little slower under 40
mph! 1hour goes by paints peeling on Crissys helmet couldn't imagine
how many knights Ed will spend in that dog house so we proceed up doe
town road oh did I mention crissy

She has to take a right hand turn on the icy road does a 180 degree
turn in the middle gets stuck in all the water bars. I never thought I
could have so much fun.

Well were all glad she only has bumps and bruises and she took it
well.

Oh did I mention the N.H.S.A. has great recreational training
courses for safe snowmobiling it can be of great help especially on
those bridges Ouch!
George

I do remember, Thank God Chrissy does'nt know how to use the computer
to re-read this

This story sounds all too familier. Allthough I wasn't there, many
trips I have made from here could have been similar by inserting the
following: Mike, Gail, Sid, Ed, Laurie, Drew, The Keith, Rachel, Dave,
Nick, Mick, Pete, Paul, Ray, Jay, Tom and Jerry, Micky and Minny,
Tweety and Sylvester, etc etc etc. You get my drift,
