So, I played hookie yesterday and went for a long ride.
Started by going down Warren hill, Corridor 14 to 11, through the
notch to Bretton woods.
Backtracked to 104 to Corridor 5, up over the power lines back to
Warren then
back through 3 ponds.
I didn't meet a single person on the trail until I was near Twin Mt.
All told, maybe 20
groups of people the whole day.
Warren hill is in excellent shape. They are doing logging near the
totem pole, so the fire road is plowed from
the totem towards Warren. This is probably 1 to 2 miles.
The plowed part is going to be a mess if we have a thaw.
The rest of the trail to Warren is great.
Corridor 11 was in good shape until Cannon. After that, there was less
snow on the
other side of the notch. I can see how 11 from Cannon to the 104
intersection could
be a mess. There is a lot of traffic and not much snow.
There were cops on corridor 104. I talked a couple of guys that got
stopped for doing
60. $175 bucks each. Ouch.
Corridor 5 was boring as usual, but in good shape.
BTW: Sledding is MUCH more fun than working...
