Almost hit a moose last night

I was going do Quick Lunch on Saturday Jan. 24th around 5:15pm, just
after dusk, and saw a big brown
thing just off to the side of the trail. I didn't realize what it was
until
I was on top of it. It was a fully grown female who was drinking from
a spot next to the trail. Her hind legs were in the trail.
I stopped and turned off the sled. She walked slowly away, about 50
feet, turned around and
just stared at me. She didn't seem to concerned. We just sat there for
a couple
of minutes looking at each other.

It sure would have ruined my day to hit her. Look out for moose,
especially around dusk.
