Clear New Tab Extension Not Functioning Properly

I currently use this extension  ' Best Homepage Ever: Custom New Tab Launcher '  set as my home page while I'm using the brave beta browser. My current issue is the fact that when I click on the ' + ' symbol to open the clear new tab extension to open , instead I'm seeing the  ' best homepage ever extension  '  open instead of the the clear new tab extension I'm wanting to open, can someone please tell me how to fix my current issue ?
