Background images limit

Is there a limit to the number or size of the background images? 

I am trying to set up multiple images but sometimes the entire list clears itself. Last time i dragged the images to the box and by the time it finished loading the images none showed up, the list was still blank.

There's no limit I imposed intentionally. In my tests, I was able to upload up to 10000 1920x1080 images, didn't test above that. It may be different on different devices. If you're experiencing issues, try uploading by smaller batches.
