How can we use BMP with Appium

HI All,

I want to capture calls from a hybrid iOS app. Currently I am using Simulator and then would migrate to real iOS device.

Is it possible to use BMP to record all the response/request made by an hybrid app(simulator/real device), If So then can anyone help me how to configure the simulator/real device.

Doesn't setting up the proxy information via the Capabilities object not work for you ?

Setting up the proxy for an app should be no different from how you would go about setting proxy for a web browser.

So the instructions detailed in https://github.com/lightbody/browsermob-proxy/#using-with-selenium should work for apps as well.

I don't believe it is possible to use the proxy capability in Appium the same way it can be used in Selenium. Check this: https://github.com/appium/appium/issues/4968

using ios Simulator, har file is generated but no proxy was recorded
