Hello,

I'm using php-browscap (branch 2.x - https://github.com/browscap/browscap-php/tree/2.x -).

I have an issue since this morning. The browscap.ini build seems to be broken.
Indeed, the file ends like this:

[*CFNetwork/

I tried to download the file from browscap.org, but it fails too (php_browscap.ini, full_php_browscap.ini and lite_php_browscap.ini).

For the moment, i took an old version of the ini, and tell the app not to check if there is a new one.

In fact, I think I won't make a cron to refresh the ini file. because it seems there is no test/backup in the Browscap::updateCache() methode. And so, a problem would mean every single feature of my app will be broken.

Is there a way to be aware (by email) when a new version of the ini is available ? I think a manual update would be less risky.

Have you tried upgrading to browscap 3 beta?

Thanks
James

No, since I need a stable version (From the github of the project: "depending on your minimum stability, you may be using the latest version 2.x").

But do you confirm there is a problem with the php_browscap.ini? Has I said, even from browscap.org, I can't get to download the file.

The downloads seem to be working fine here; what response are you seeing?

Thanks
James

Well, it works fine now !

Fews minutes ago, the download from Firefox stopped ach time I tried (stop after nearly 7,000 KB).
It works too from the php-browscap. Here is what was missing to the file this morning:
