Proposal: Move to Semantic Versioning

Hi folks,

If anyone still pays attention here, I'd love some feedback on devs on what sort of affect changing to using semantic versioning might have:

I'd propose changing the "5022" version into a "1.0.0" release.

Does anyone have any major issues with this?

The GaretJax application (and possibly other scripts) do look for the version number (and possibly version-date)

If you do stay with the #### type version numbering I would suggest restarting with 6000 upon release.
