For those participating in the workshop on March 9th, here is more info.
March 9 - Queen of Angels Church Basement at 2330 W. Sunnyside, parking on street or school parking lot. Alex is bringing small water bottles plus there is a fountain and sink. I will be bringing popcorn bags and/or gold fish. Badges have been ordered.
Begins at 9, however need help with set-up. Will be there around 8:30 am
Also need adults to help with Daisies and somewhat the Brownies during making time as in robot and activitie.. The Daisies will be doing a separate project from the rest due to their age. Jen will have a sheet explaining the project for those supervising the project.
Brownies on up, making a robot. A sheet has been created regarding steps. Need older scout to help out with building or ... however only if they want. They are welcome to create one.
NEEDED - Empty water bottles (2 to person) with a cap. One inch cap. This is for one of the activities - rubber band boat. There will be other activities also.
People will be broken into groups of 7-10. Makes it easier to run things.
Robot making - 9:30 to 11:30 am
Activities - 11:30 am to Noon
Clean-up Noon to 12:30.
For a break, you can do robot then break to do an activity for 10-15 minutes then return to robot making. Daisy leaders will be put to work also parents.
We need glue guns but not a ton, if you have one and wish to bring make sure it is marked.
I will shop for glue sticks, rubber bands which are thin to medium for rubber banded powered boats which is what the bottles are for.
Spaghetti towers will be an activity.
Anyone plans to donate, just let us know before the 9th.
