Hello - 

Wow! we are going to eat well this weekend! The scouts have planned an amazing menu for the weekend.

A few reminders - 

1. Every scout needs to bring something to contribute to our GORP making (dried fruit, chocolate chips, Cheez-Its, popcorn, pretzels, etc)

2. We still need one driver. We need one driver to drive us to the campground on Friday. We will leave Edison at 2:45 pm. It is about a 2-hour drive. Jenna has generously volunteered to drive us home on Sunday.

3. We reminded the scouts, but it is going to be cold. Please make sure your scout has packed for the weather.

I’m so sorry I cannot help as I have a pretty important doctor’s appointment that I can’t cancel. I hope someone else can step in.

Hi Everyone - 

It doesn't look like we have a third driver for Friday afternoon. With 9 scouts, 2 chaperones, and enough gear to eat and tent camp for two nights, we will not fit in our two cars.

If no one can drive Friday, we have two options - cancel the trip or rent a minivan.

Jen is willing to rent a minivan for the weekend. If agreed, we would need an additional $42 per Scout to pay for the rental. You can quickpay Jen at jennif...@gmail.com.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you agree to renting a van or if something has changed in your schedule and you are able to drive on Friday.

Sorry, when I wrote earlier I was rushing in between clients. One more option is that you both are more than welcome to take our Honda pilot. She’s over 13 years old but has been around the country and is pretty reliable. She’s not very pretty to look at but she’s got plenty of room in the back and can comfortably seat five with the trunk space still available.

The only issue would be to swap cars but other than that you’re welcome to take it if that makes it fiscally and otherwise easier. Contributing to a shiny, better smelling car might also be a wonderful option :)

that's a good point. Saniya and I were just talking about it. 
I can bring the car over sometime Friday morning to Jen Mach's if you would like

Okay, talking to car-savvy husband and thinking Pilot might not be big enough— I have reserved a Pacifica that seats seven. 

Sorry for all the back and forth here, but Mike is thinking we are going to need a bigger vehicle— it essentially has to take the place of two cars.

That said thanks to you two, and Jenna for the kind offers...

As Mike says, “Looks like you’re going to need a bigger boat.”
