Hi BCB,

I'm forwarding you an email from Amy. It's a cool chance to be part of the Asian Gala and get a free ticket!

Check it out!

Hello BTS!

My name is Marimo, and I am one of the co-Chairs of the Asian American Students Association (AASA). On Friday, November 8, AASA will be organizing the Second Annual Asian/Asian American Gala in Alumnae Hall Auditorium. This year's theme is (Un)masked: A Masquerade Gala. Please note that this event is not exclusively for students who identify as Asian - it is an event organized by the Asian/Asian American community that is open to the entire Brown student body.
Here is the facebook event: http://tinyurl.com/aasagala2013

The huge success of last year's gala was largely due to the wonderful volunteers we had from many Asian/Asian American-related student organizations across campus.

I'm writing to request that you send out this information to your E-Board and GB, asking students who are interested in helping out at this year's gala to fill out the following GoogleDoc Form by early next week: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1fr_tW1MfHSAYR-ZS-7ubJiYK24lDgeZ_xfydGxcpSQU/viewform

We need volunteers to help out as Party Managers, Bartenders (for a non-alcoholic bar), Setup or Cleanup, and Coat Check. Volunteers would each work a 1-2 hour shift, depending on the position they sign up for. Every volunteer is guaranteed admission to this event (it's free anyways, but this means you won't have to wait in line to secure a ticket!), as well as an extra ticket for a friend/date.

Thank you very much for your time - I hope to hear from your group, soon!

Best wishes,
Marimo
