【读书小组】本周末校庆活动推荐~

最近读书小组一直没有组织活动，不好意思~不过相信大家都很忙碌，所以只要开心就好！

很多人肯定都注意到了，这周末一系列校庆活动都非常有趣（详情见250.brown.edu）。除了电影、蛋糕、烟火、音乐会、讲座、艺术展等等，还有一些可能不太引人注意但应该很有趣的亮点。在此开一个楼，大家有兴趣的话可以沟通交流，周末一起去玩~如果谁的系里有好玩的活动，也请告诉我们哦 :)

1. Curator's Tour @ The Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology

Main Green西侧有一幢新古典主义的白色建筑，一层就是我们学校的Anthropology Museum。如果有同学仍然没有去过那里，这次是很好的机会！

William Simmons, Professor of Anthropology and curator of this exhibit, will lead a tour of the Haffenreffer Museum's latest exhibit celebrating Brown's 250th anniversary.  The exhibit takes an anthropological look at the symbols and ceremonies of Brown University and features archives and objects, such as the President's robe, cap, and chain, that are not typically available for close viewing.  

我恰好曾经上一门人类学课程，在那个博物馆里面做过展览，所以知道他们有很多好东西平常都没有摆出来。相信这次应该会蛮有趣~

（另外，那幢建筑的二层是一个chapel，有风琴和管风琴。某次读书小组活动结束后，主讲嘉宾大力同学曾在那里给大家献上了一场音乐会~管风琴可以随便玩哒）

2. Rock concert + musical: Passing Strange。TAPS的年度大制作之一。导演是Kym Moore，TAPS很棒的一个教授。详情见下文，据说很不错~

About the Anthropology Museum, remember to ask for a membership. This membership card can not only be used in Brown Anthropology Museum but also tens of museums in the New England Area for free visiting. They sometimes send information about special exhibitions as well, which are pretty interesting.

Passing Strange is definitely worth checking out, especially for those who take interest in punk music and rock. One of a kind!

Passing Strange的故事性不错，更重要的是，从舞台艺术的角度而言，简直才华横溢。才。华。横。溢。——才华多得四处流淌。音乐、灯光、舞台设计非常令人赞叹，当然，大部分演员的表演也相当出色。Stuart Theater的大小让观众近得可以欣赏舞台上的细节，又远得恰好看到故事的全貌。（Stuart Theater是三面墙一面观众的结构，不是四面观众的Leeds Theater）。

同意楼上说的"one of a kind"，强烈推荐。完全不是传统的“话剧”表演，比音乐剧更加interactive，比演唱会更有许多趣味性。根据我对Brown的这两年剧目的了解，几年里应该不会再有类似的表演，错过了很难再有机会弥补。周日下午最后一场。如果没有计划去雅音的讲座，也许可以去看passing strange~
