Congrats to Esperanza Spalding for winning best new artist at the Grammys. Jazz is my favorite genre of music....I love music with emotion...... music that makes you feel something.....music that can transform you to another place and time....music that comes from the heart. This is what i feel when I listen to Esperanza.
I also love the way she embraces her natural hair....so beautiful.....she has an effortless beauty. I also love her feminine and eclectic style. Here is a couple of videos I found of her on youtube.

And frankly I don't get why so many people are crying and whining in disbelief that she won.
