We know how to fix this by making the database read only, performing backup & restore and making it read write again, however we're not too sure what is causing this. I have a feeling that the transactions is limited to a billion(?).

Firebird has a monotonically increasing transaction counter in the form of a signed 32 bit integer (for 2.5 and earlier). So the number of transactions is limited to +/- 231-1. In Firebird 3 the transaction id has been changed to an unsigned 48 bit integer (so the limit there is 248), with room to expand to 64 bit integers in the future AFAIK.

The transaction counter is reset when performing a backup and restore using gbak. This can be done at any time, but when the limit is actually reached it requires marking the database read-only, because in a read-only database the 'last' transaction id of the database is used for new transactions instead of allocating a new transaction id.

Firebird is a MVCC (Multi Version Concurrency Control) database, which means it maintains multiple versions of a record. These record versions are marked with the id of the transaction that created that version. With a backup and restore only the latest versions are backed up and on restore those record versions are written with a low transaction id (probably 1).

Just resetting transaction counter is not possible (or at least: has a lot of complications) due to visibility of record versions for other transactions based on the isolation level, time that the transaction started etc. For example a transaction with repeatable read can only see record versions created by transactions that were committed at the time the transaction started. Record versions created by active transactions, or by transactions that were committed after transaction start are invisible.

Enough of us have seen this message before: activation count exceeded. We cringe when it happens and then try to figure out who we must scramble to call to get it resolved. Do I call my co-worker who is using a similar license, IT to look at the system and ask what you did wrong, or SOLIDWORKS Corporation and be worried that you caused a major licensing violation?

In most cases, this overage was done without your knowledge. There are a few steps to keep this from happening. The sections below will get you the information on your situation and how to address it.

Product activation is an anonymous, secure, and hassle-free process that authenticates licensed users during the installation process. The process verifies that the serial number is legitimate and has not been activated on more systems than allowed by the SOLIDWORKS End-User License Agreement (EULA). It does not affect the ability of licensed users to use their software the way they have always done.

In short, this is a check of the use of the license key on a specific machine. You can install SOLIDWORKS on as many workstations as you may use but you can only activate/run a Standalone license on ONE machine at a time. These machines might be for office use, travel purposes, or working from home. (Psst: We cover the differences between SOLIDWORKS License types, borrowing, and activation in this guide.)

Before you can run SOLIDWORKS products on an individual computer or SolidNetWork License setup, you must activate the license for that computer or server. Activation requires that you have internet or email access. After activation, you do not need to be online to use the products. If you do not have email access on the computer where you use this product, you can save the activation file and send it from another computer.

If you are disabling a computer or transferring SOLIDWORKS from one computer to another, you must transfer the license to the license key server at Dassault Systmes SOLIDWORKS Corporation and then reactivate it on the other computer.

If you were unable to transfer the license to Dassault Systmes SOLIDWORKS Corporation (because of hard drive failure, for example), reactivation is still successful in most cases. If not, contact for help.

In the first case, the SOLIDWORKS or SolidNetWork License Manager has been uninstalled before the activation was released. In this case, you can download and install the SOLIDWORKS Activation Wizard via your SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal account. It will allow you to release activations from your machine without reloading the full program.

It is working fine when i try to insert from source to target. But our requirement is bidirectional like.., it should also be possible from target to source instance. When im trying the second one, i.e, trying to insert records from target to source it shows me a 408 error.

I tried refreshing page, also setting properties of sys_properties table following this link Long-Running SOAP Request Support - ServiceNow Wiki . It is showing me a red running error thing and time and the transcation is getting cancelled after 175 seconds. When i checked the system logs..,there is long error saying transaction failed.

This error message means that the attempted transaction exceeds the activity limit of the account (ie the number of times the card can be used in a specific period). The period might be an hour, a day or a month. It's usually set so that, should your card ever be stolen, it cannot be used without limitation. Speak to your bank as they can usually change the account limits for you or try a different payment method that we accept.

The MID","articleBody":"MID Server Service Startup Error \"redirect count exceeded or request did not finish within 60 seconds\"
DescriptionThe MID Server is down and the following error is seen on the agent logs when the MID Server Service is started:

When the MID server is started it will set any output ecc_queue records for the MID from processing to ready. Some MID servers may have a very large number of outputs in processing. Because of this, the call to set the records to "ready" takes longer than a minute and the transaction is canceled.

There are quotas for the number of running Spot Instances and pending Spot Instance requests per AWS accountper Region. Once a pending Spot Instance request is fulfilled, the request no longer countstowards the quota because the running instance is counted towards the quota.

Spot Instance quotas are managed in terms of the number of virtualcentral processing units (vCPUs) that your running Spot Instances are either usingor will use pending the fulfillment of open Spot Instance requests. If you terminate your Spot Instancesbut do not cancel the Spot Instance requests, the requests count against your Spot Instance vCPU quotauntil Amazon EC2 detects the Spot Instance terminations and closes the requests.

You can launch any combination of instance types that meet your changing application needs. For example, with an All Standard Spot Instance Requests quota of 256 vCPUs, you could request 32m5.2xlarge Spot Instances (32 x 8 vCPUs) or 16 c5.4xlarge Spot Instances (16x 16vCPUs).

With Amazon CloudWatch metrics integration, you can monitor EC2 usage against your quotas. You can also configure alarms to warn about approaching quotas. For more information, see ServiceQuotas and Amazon CloudWatch alarms in the ServiceQuotas User Guide.

Even though Amazon EC2 automatically increases your Spot Instance quotas based on your usage, you canrequest a quota increase if necessary. For example, if you intend to launch moreSpot Instances than your current quota allows, you can request a quota increase. You can alsorequest a quota increase if you submit a Spot Instance request and you receive the errorMax spot instance count exceeded. To request a quota increase, usethe Service Quotas console described in Amazon EC2 service quotas.

Holds appear on your record when a University office prevents registration. Holds require some action by you before you can register. Examples are: owing funds to the university, needing transcripts from other schools, academic suspension, immunization, or international student issues. You can review your holds and the departments that placed the holds, by logging into MyFAU. Then contact each department that issued a hold.

The Self-Service registration system automatically classifies new non-degree students as equal to freshman with zero credits. This means non-degree students must obtain authorization into many courses. To obtain authorization, contact the Student Services Office at the college that offers the courses you wish to take. You may need to provide proof that you have met the prerequisites for the courses by showing an unofficial transcript from another school.

Registration errors are often caused by restrictions and requirements placed on courses. When a student has not met the requirements placed on a course, the Self-Service system gives one or several of the following errors upon registration. To view the restrictions placed on a course, see below.

This error indicates that you have not met the required course prerequisite(s). Example: A student wants to register for CHM 2211 (Organic Chemistry 2). CHM 2211 has a prerequisite of a "C" grade or better in CHM 2210 (Organic Chemistry 1), but the student has not met the requirement. Always review a course's listed prerequisites prior to registration. You can view this information by clicking on the course title within the Course Schedule and selecting the "Prerequisites" tab.

Note: If you transferred to FAU, the registration system may not recognize your transfer courses as prerequisites. Meet with your advisor as soon as possible to have your prior courses evaluated as meeting prerequisites.

Linked courses are two separate courses that must be taken concurrently. These include labs and discussions that must be taken with a lecture course. When registering for linked courses, the CRNs must be submitted at the same time. The linked classes can be found by clicking on the linked sections tab in the class details when viewing the course in the Course Schedule. To unlink a course, you will need permission from your advisor or the professor teaching the course.
