Remember the endearing Ismail Bhai with his motley gang in the movie Angrez ? He will be leading a gang in this Hyderabadi comedy film and pitted against is the gang led by Gullu Dada (played by Adnan Sajid) of the Gullu Dada Returns fame.

Directed by Sarath Reddy, the latest in the series of Hyderabadi comedy flicks has a story revolving around gangs typical to these parts and relies heavily on the local mannerism and dialogues. In the wake of unprecedented popularity of Angrez , the local talent has come out with several comedy movies such as Hyderabad Nawabs , Hungama in Dubai and Hyderabad Bakra , most of which went down well with the viewers.

The plot of Gangs of Hyderabad revolves around two childhood friends who grow up to lead opposing gangs and then fall in love with a same girl (played by Kavya Reddy) from their neighbourhood. The two gang leaders fight for their love, portrayed humorously in the movie, but realises her heart is won by a third person (Farukh Khan).
