In Remembrance

Martin A. Cisna

Martin Andrew Cisna passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at his home in Pasadena, Maryland, following his battle with cancer.

Martin served his country with honor. After receiving his draft notice, he chose to join the U.S. Navy and reported first to Fort Holabird in Baltimore before spending two years in Vietnam. Following his military service commitment, Martin worked as a master electrician and founded Martin E.E. in 1987, a company he proudly built and later sold in 1995.

He later spent 16 years as a valued member of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at the Uniformed Services University, where he was known for his technical expertise, reliability, and genuine kindness. Colleagues remember him as a talented and dedicated member of the team who brought both skill and humor to the workplace.

In his younger days, Martin enjoyed the thrill of his jet boat, complete with its signature rooster tail. Later in life, he found joy in Corvettes, bull roasts, community gatherings, and the occasional shift bartending at the VFW in Pasadena. His passion for technology—often pursued late into the night—was a defining thread throughout his life. He loved learning, tinkering, and creating, and he approached every project with enthusiasm.

The family will hold a celebration of life in the near future.
