Concussion May Alter Brain-Cleansing Function for Years


A Uniformed Services University study led by Dr. J. Kent Werner utilized non-invasive imaging to reveal that mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI) may persistently disrupt microscopic, sleep-related brain-cleansing fluid dynamics, potentially explaining the lingering cognitive symptoms that impact long-term warfighter readiness.
