USU EMDP2 Students Participate in Operational Impact Scholars Program Research Bootcamp

USU Leadership Holds Strategic Offsite to Align with Department of War Priorities

USU GSN Professor Receives Recognition by the US Army Nurse Corps (ANC)

Dr. Patrick Deleon, Distinguished Professor in the Graduate School of Nursing received recognition by the US Army Nurse Corps (ANC) at the ANC 125th Anniversary Celebration last week. Nine former Army Nurse Corps Chief Nurses presented the award to Dr. Deleon, honoring his 38 years on Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff for Senator Inouye. 


In that role he shaped landmark policy advancing independent practice, reimbursement, and leadership for nurses. He helped to establish the Military Nursing Congressional Fellowship Program and has received numerous national honors. 


Dr. DeLeon is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, former President of the American Psychological Association and editor of Psychological Services. As Distinguished Professor in the GSN, he currently inspires USU faculty and the future generation of health care providers.
