October is Children's Health Month

family

October is children's health month. It's a month dedicated to remind us that children are more vulnerable to pollutants and environmental risks than adults. Families, schools, and communities can all take steps to reduce these risks and create healthier spaces for kids to grow and thrive. The United State's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) offers resources for parents and caregivers, school administrators and teachers, and health care professionals on everyday actions you can take, like improving indoor air quality, reducing exposure to lead, and ensuring safe drinking water. Visit the EPA's webpage to learn about various environmental risks that affects children and tips on how to protect them.
