CMS Releases an Informational Bulletin about Redetermining Eligibility Upon Changes in Immigration Status

Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an informational bulletin to remind states about their responsibility to redetermine a beneficiary’s eligibility for Medicaid and/or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) when the state becomes aware of changes in a beneficiary’s circumstances that may impact eligibility for these programs, such as a change in immigration status (e.g., parole).
