Families across Minnesota may qualify for the Minnesota Child Tax Credit, up to $1,750 per qualifying child, with no limit on the number of children claimed. If someone qualifies for the credit, they must file a tax return. This is a refundable credit, meaning families can receive a refund even if they don’t owe any tax. We need your help to raise awareness about this important tax benefit. The Minnesota Department of Revenue has created ready-to-use promotional materials to help partners share accurate and relevant information. These multicultural resources include videos, flyers, newsletter blurbs, and social media posts. Please consider playing videos in waiting ooms, including flyers with intake forms, sharing flyers at information tables, featuring blurbs in newsletters, posting content on social media, and more. The most effective times to share these messages are the first two weeks of tax season, around Presidents' Day, and two weeks before the end of tax season. Together, we can help ensure families know about this important tax credit and file their taxes if they qualify. Thank you!

Dealing with depression or anxiety can feel crippling at times, and it makes it feel like getting back to feeling well again isn’t possible. Managing your mental health doesn’t have to be complicated. The 1% rule is about doing one task a day to work in the right direction toward bettering your mental health and getting back to a healthier version of yourself.
