Virtual Information Session for Men As Peacemakers Restorative Program 

Date: Thursday, Feb. 19 

Time: 12 – 1:30 p.m. Central Time 

Men As Peacemakers is inviting community partners to a virtual information session for the relaunch of their Restorative Program. The Restorative Program is a community-based, alternative response for survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence, who are looking for alternative routes of healing and accountability. Please note that a recording will be available to folks who register.  


Training: Writing to Wholeness Workshops

Application due date: Friday, Feb. 27 

Writing to Wholeness is offering a free, full day training for staff working in Minnesota-based organizations that support communities impacted by trauma. Writing to Wholeness workshops are designed to offer writing as a grounded, trauma-responsive practice of community care, especially as Minnesotans try to navigate many crises at once. The training will take place on a date of an organization’s choosing between May and December. 


Webinar: Minnesota Human Rights 101 

Date: Friday, March 20 

Time: 12 – 1 p.m. Central Time 

The Minnesota Office of Higher Education is hosting a session that provides a foundational overview of the Minnesota Human Rights Act, with a focus on its application in higher education settings. This session will give participants an opportunity to explore the Act’s history, current standards, scope, and protections.

Blog Post: Read this before scrolling: Ways to revisit and strengthen our boundaries when the news is unavoidable and retraumatizing 

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center published a blog talking about revisiting our boundaries, limits, and practices when consuming media. This comes at a time where news about the Epstein files is everywhere, which makes it hard to avoid, and can be traumatizing or retraumatizing for many. The blog offers helpful tips to consider as coverage continues and as a way to take care of yourself before and after interacting with the news.
