The Mailbag provides a coordinated, non-duplicative source of information for local public health professionals, including announcements, events, tools, resources, and jobs. This free service is designed with the following audiences in mind: SCHSAC members, CHS administrators, public health directors, local public health staff, MDH staff, and friends of local public health in Minnesota. Our experienced team consists of dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Nurses as well as Social Workers. In this role you will perform assessments, intervention, and person-centered advocacy within the Public Health and Human Services Department. St. Louis County offers competitive pay and a robust benefits package. This full-time position is based in Virginia, MN. The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2026. The department has multiple immediate openings for a Public Health Nurse on the Family Home Visiting team. The Public Health Nurse helps reduce health risks at the population level through evidenced-based care and education and is responsible for addressing the health disparities within marginalized communities by focusing on the environmental, physical, and social determinants of health. Smoke-Free Housing Consultant, Dakota County - closes 7/31

Dakota County Public Health (DCPH) seeks a qualified consultant to provide smoke-free multi-unit housing technical assistance in Dakota County from November 2026 to October 2027. The consultant will educate individuals living or working in multi-unit housing about the risks of secondhand tobacco/cannabis smoke and the importance of comprehensive smoke-free policies; assist properties in adopting, updating, and enforcing smoke-free policies; provide smoke-free signage to properties; and respond to requests from Dakota County property managers/owners and residents.
